One of the first facilities in the country to bring together military history, environmental education, and historical preservation, the Tipton County Museum is truly unique. This million-dollar facility is located in the largest urban park in the county, which includes a 20-acre wildlife sanctuary, a half-mile nature trail, a wetland study area, plus a natural forest.

The museum houses changing history exhibits featuring artifacts from Tipton County's rich heritage and a nature center depicting the unique ecosystem of West Tennessee. Numerous programs for students and adults are available year round.

The conference center is an excellent place to host your reception, corporate meeting, or event.

These are some of the programs the museum offers:

• Kids Korner - Held on the first Saturday in March, April, May, October, November and December, Kids Korner features activities for kids 5 - 7 years old. Kids Korner is limited to 20 children. Pre-registration and payment are required. Please call the museum for more information on current programs offered and payment information.
• Adventure Camp - A program for 8 to 10-year-olds, Adventure Camp is limited to 25 children. Please call the museum for more information on current program schedules and payment information.

Various other education programs can be given upon request to groups of children in grades K - 12, following our ongoing mission "Enhancing Classroom Education". A fee of $2.00 per student per program is due upon arrival and reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Please call the museum to schedule your program.

You are invited to use the Cobb Parr Park picnic area for lunches and the new playground for fun and games. You are required to reserve the area at least 2 weeks in advance by calling the Covington Parks & Recreation Department at (901) 476-1107 or (901) 476-3734. Ask for Lessie or Karen.
